Thank God for heartbreak, it's a writer's dream. The pain is so close to the surface all the time, it's quite accessible. Just reach in and grab a song from the agony of defeat. And then, you fall in love again, and bang. You got nothing. Nary a lyric to be found in a heart that sings with love. Slowly, little by little, you see that there's artistic merit in happiness. Pain and ecstacy are kissin cousins, you see. So here's my song for JW. I couldn't resist throwing in some of that good old darkness, however, you know, "Strung out on these stages up here feeling like a joke..." That's always pleasant. But Lord, that tall drink of Georgia water is a fine man. Definite keeper. ;)
